Forestry and Arboriculture

Subject Area Overview

Studying a forestry and arboriculture course at Hadlow College is the perfect way to start your career in this important sector.  The forests and woodlands of Great Britain are home to a range of plants and animals as well as an important resource for recreation, tourism and sport.  They contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases and provide natural resources for building and fuel.

Our forestry courses give you the theory as well as the practical skills to successfully care and maintain urban trees and woodlands as well as an introduction into the management of the wider ecosystem to protect valuable water resources. For more information on some of the career options available in this sector, see the post on the Hadlow College blog.

Ultimately, upon finishing your course at Hadlow College, your career in forestry could involve working as an aborist, tree surgeon or woodland manager.
