Industry Short Courses

Industry Short Courses

Subject Area Overview

Providing comprehensive training for industry professionals, we offer a range of short and legislative training courses designed for those people who work in the rural sector.

Through us you will be trained by tutors who've worked in the sector for the majority of their career and can easily relate the theory to practical necessity. Places are strictly numbered on all of our courses to give you the maximum amount of time with the tutor.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Cancellation of a Course by the College
Where insufficient numbers have applied for a course it may be necessary for the College to close or cancel courses. The College will endeavour to inform applicants as soon as they are aware that a course is full or cancelled. In the case of cancellation any fees paid will be refunded.

Cancellation of a Course by a Student
When cancelling a confirmed booking on a course by a Student, refunds will only be considered if the prospective student contacts the college in writing at least 10 working days before the expected start date of the course. A £20 administration charge will be levied against all refunds.

Cancellations made less than 10 working days prior to the commencement of the course, will not be eligible for a refund, but tuition fees may be used (at our discretion) against another course. In this case unused funds would remain on account with the college for future use by the student within the academic year (e.g. September to August). Unused funds cannot be transferred to another academic year and cannot be refunded.

Withdrawals and refunds
Refunds for confirmed bookings are only made under exceptional circumstances, such as a certified medical illness that would prevent a student from attending or finishing the course. Students should apply in writing to the Team Leader, Apprenticeships, Business and Community, enclosing the appropriate evidence (e.g. doctor’s certificate) for consideration of a refund. In this event, a refund would be calculated on a pro-rata equivalent of the time remaining on the course, less a £20 administration charge.

If you have achieved an NPTC Certificate of Competence, you may be entitled to the KPTC bursary. Register your interest here.
