Hadlow College welcomed a series of industry experts to speak at its annual Horticulture and Landscape Conference on the 2nd March, entitled ‘The Bigger Picture’, which covered a broad range of topics, touching upon such pertinent issues as the role of cutting-edge technology in commercial horticulture and post-Brexit food security.
This year’s Lambing Weekend, our flagship event heralding the start of Spring, saw us welcome 13,000 visitors to our site at Faulkner’s Farm on the 11th and 12th March. Running for 25 years now, the event continues to expand, with this year featuring more exciting family activities and food stalls showcasing the best of our local produce than ever before
Staff and students from Hadlow College volunteered in an amazing project over the summer, involving Great Ormond Street Hospital and the BBC TV series: DIY SOS: The Big Build.
The Hadlow Group had a hugely successful three days at the Kent County Show this year. The main marquee had a countryside and sustainability theme, with a host of exciting stands and interactive activities on offer.
An episode of the long-running BBC Radio 4 programme, Gardeners’ Question Time, is to be recorded at Hadlow College on the evening of Thursday 18th February.
