This year’s Kent County Show saw sweltering temperatures over the three days, which brought the sun-seeking visitors out in droves. As always, Hadlow College had a significant presence and profile as Livestock and Equine sponsors at the show, with the College being profiled on BBC Radio Kent on all three days and receiving television coverage on the Friday evening.
Hadlow College is delighted to have recently enrolled over 15 students on the new Level 2 Golf Greenkeeper Certificate 0143. This new cohort of students represents a significant shift in the industry from old framework qualifications to the new more modern standard apprenticeships.
This year’s Lambing Weekend, our flagship event heralding the start of Spring, saw us welcome 13,000 visitors to our site at Faulkner’s Farm on the 11th and 12th March. Running for 25 years now, the event continues to expand, with this year featuring more exciting family activities and food stalls showcasing the best of our local produce than ever before

The Hadlow Group had a hugely successful three days at the Kent County Show this year. The main marquee had a countryside and sustainability theme, with a host of exciting stands and interactive activities on offer.
This spring marked the first collaboration between Hadlow College and Betteshanger Sustainable Parks, when nine students ran events for visitors during the Park’s week of Activity Days from 4-8 April.
Olly Beadle studying Level 1 Diploma in sport and Active Leisure returned from The Special Olympic World Games 2015 in Los Angeles with two gold medals after winning both the Level 5+ Men’s Singles Gold and the Level 5 Mixed Doubles Gold with partner Laura Campbell.
13 Level 3 extended diploma in Outdoor Activities students have recently returned from a study tour to France where they spent 4 days camping in La Fontaine des Clercs.

Prospective Tonbridge Angels Football Academy students were last night given the opportunity to play the West Ham Academy at the Longmead Stadium, Tonbridge.

Students studying the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Outdoor Activities) course recently enjoyed a 3 day study tour to Montreuil, Northern France.
As well as having lots of fun students on this year’s course have all been offered paid employment over the summer at Tree Jumpers.
