Former Floristry Student Releases Her First Book

Wendy Andrade, A former floristry student of Hadlow College, recently launched her brand new book – Fresh Floral Jewellery – at the Philadelphia Flower Show.

Having gained her Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 floristry qualifications whilst at the College, Wendy progressed onto a Cert Ed programme at the University of Greenwich before eventually returning to the College as a tutor.  She achieved the American Institute of Floral Design award in 2010 and has won numerous other awards for her displays including a RHS Gold medal and ‘Best in Show’ as well as two Silver Gilt medals at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Other notable achievements include being the designer for the Pasendena Rose Bowl parade, being published in international magazines and the first ever British floral designer to be invited to join the Oscar Flower Team at the Academy Awards in 2010.

Her latest book – Fresh Floral Jewellery – will be stocked in Broadview Garden Centre.
