Representing Hadlow at the event were Peter Stanley, Head Stock Person, Chris Smoothy, Farms Manager and students Mollie Fosgate, Simone Wood and Charlotte Uyterhoeven-Pursey. The college’s three pigs were Pietrain cross Welsh from the Princess Christian’s Farm (PCF), which were bought by show president Paul Burden for £300p/kg (£214). This was the first time the College has attended such an event.
Farms Manager Chris Smoothy commented, “I’m very pleased for the students. It’s an excellent result after all their hard work at PCF looking after and mucking out the livestock – it gives them a bit of a boost. “
