Hadlow College Annual Horse Show a Great Success
In spite of a relatively cold day in June, the 2013 Hadlow College Annual Horse Show was another resounding success with approximately 200 horses and riders competing throughout the day.
This event is organised and run each year by the second year Level 3 Extended Diploma in Horse Management students. It is integral to their course and involves everything from deciding the classes that will feature in the programme through to organising a budget, distributing the schedules, negotiating sponsorship deals and conducting pre-event promotion. Plus, they are expected to set up and run the Show on the day.
In total, the Show comprises six different rings, all of which hold classes simultaneously. These classes include a number of different equine disciplines such as Show Jumping, Clear Round Jumping, Dressage, Showing and Working Hunter, as well as the more ‘fun’ classes. It is designed as show that all ages and abilities can take part in and as a day out for the whole family.
Throughout the day our students were on hand to deal with competitor enquiries and their efforts contributed to it being another brilliant event for the College.
