Hadlow College are proud to announce they have partnered with Kingswood Training, a market-leading Lantra-approved training provider, to offer a range of short and legislative chainsaw and arborist courses.

The courses, which include Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-Cutting, Felling & Processing Small Trees and Tree Climbing & Aerial Training, are delivered at Hadlow College’s Court Lane site, near Tonbridge. Kingswood, who also offer expertise in a variety of specialised machinery, utility arb and pesticide application training, are market leaders, with credentials recognised by Lantra, NPTC (National Proficiency Test Council) and CTP (the Career Transition Partnership). All of their tree surgery instructors are Lantra and NPTC qualified in addition to the many years of industry experience in the subject areas they teach.

The business was established by Director and Instructor Richard Olley in June 1987 - 4 months before The Great Storm that uprooted several million trees in the South East. He built the business up, gradually taking on more staff, and building a sound reputation with a wide range of domestic, commercial and Local Authority clients.

Mark Lumsdon-Taylor, Deputy Group Principal and Deputy CEO of The Hadlow Group, commented: “Kingswood’s long-standing reputation locally was key in our decision to partner with them; a partnership which outlines our commitment to offering an outstanding provision to our students. Kingswood’s phenomenal 95% course pass rates are testament to the quality of their tuition and we’re delighted to be working with them.”

Richard Olley, Director and Instructor, Kingswood Training, said: “We think that this is one of the rare business opportunities that is a win-win for both parties. Hadlow College has a very significant presence in land-based training, and we are delighted to partner with them in this exciting development within the arboricultural sector.”
