Hadlow College Selected as KEiBA Finalist
Hadlow College has been confirmed as a finalist in the Business Commitment to the Environment category at this year’s Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA).
The awards, which were founded six years ago by the Kent Messenger Group and Kent County Council, are designed to recognise and reward excellence in Kent and Medway's businesses and attract a wide range of entries from across a variety of sectors. They are free to enter and, each year, have seen an increased number of applications, with 2014 being the highest level yet.
Hadlow College’s entry focuses around its commitment to sustainability throughout the whole business, including an innovative staff bike scheme for commuting between sites that surround the main campus near Tonbridge, the entrepreneurship it encourages within its student base through food and vegetable plots and its flagship PassivHaus building – the Rural Regeneration Centre – which it uses to host a number of external conferences and events.
The winners of each award will be announced at the Gala Dinner, hosted by the Kent Event Centre on 26th June. Hadlow College is one of three finalists within its category and one of 39 finalists in total.Go Back
