On Wednesday 27th February 2013, students at Hadlow College had the unique opportunity to meet a wide range of employers and speak to them about businesses and organisations within the land-based sector.

Exhibitors and guest speakers offered visitors to the Careers Fair information and advice on careers and progression routes within the industry as well as potential employment opportunities. A highly successful event, Lantra, Environment Agency, The Mammal Society, Ellie’s Dairy, Saddleworld, Palmstead Nurseries Ltd and WYGU.com were amongst the guest speakers. Exhibitors included Hugh Lowe Farms, The British Veterinary Association, CPRE, Kent Wildlife Trust, The Bell Equine Veterinary Clinic, Provender Nurseries and Emmetts Gardens to name but a few. Organisations representing non-land-based industries (such as Kent Foundation, GradsKent and the University of Greenwich) were also present and able to advise students about entrepreneurship and recruitment.

With over 200 visitors consisting of students, ex-students and visiting school students, this event was extremely well received and regarded as a success by all.
