Once again, Hadlow College – together with Brachers LLP – is sponsoring the ‘Land-Based Business of the Year’ category in the Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA).

The awards, which are now in their sixth year, are designed to recognise and reward excellence in Kent and Medway's businesses.  They are free to enter and open to any business or organisation based and operating in the Kent and Medway area, excluding London Borough postcodes e.g Bromley, Bexley and Orpington.

Previous winners of the ‘Land-Based Business of the Year’ include The Chapel Down Winery and Fourayes.

To be successful, businesses will need to demonstrate outstanding performance in a number of aspects relating to their operation including: commercial success and evidence of growth; investment in the delivery of innovations nd creating employment.  The category is open to any business/organisation, irrespective of size, whose income is generated from a land-based activity or from adding value to resources originating from a land-based activity.  The business/organisation does not need to have produced the resource/produce upon which its product/service is based, but it must demonstrate that it has added value to the product/resource in some way to produce a commercially viable end product/service.

To find out more about the awards, and to download your entry form, please visit the KEiBA website.  All applications will need to be submitted by 6th March 2015.
