NPTC Level 5 Floristry Distinctions

Two Hadlow College Floristry staff are celebrating passing their NPTC Level 5 Diploma in Floristry with Distinction.  This is the highest floristry qualification available in the UK, requiring the highest levels of floral design, design concepts and techniques.

This is the first time the Level 5 course has been run at Hadlow College, Sarah Bateup (Hadlow College commercial florist) and Caroline Miller Hadlow College Floristry Lecturer, both achieved Distinction with the other two students also attaining passes.

This level 5 qualification was run as a part time course, covering the European design schema, requiring the students to attend one day a week for 2 years, building a portfolio of designs.  During the course the students also represented the College at Hampton Court and were awarded Gold, Best in Show and Hampton Court Floristry College of the Year 2014!

The students will continue to build their portfolio until July and will graduate at October half term on Graduation day.
