Olly Beadle wins two medals at The Special Olympic World Games 2015
Olly Beadle studying Level 1 Diploma in sport and Active Leisure returned from The Special Olympic World Games 2015 in Los Angeles with two gold medals after winning both the Level 5+ Men’s Singles Gold and the Level 5 Mixed Doubles Gold with partner Laura Campbell.
Olly first started playing tennis when he was 8 years old. He attended a tennis development squad and joined The Special Olympics where he underwent rigorous training and coaching.
Flying to Los Angeles on 26th July 2015 for 8 days, he took part in the Special Olympic World Games with 6500 participants from over 165 countries. In the Men’s singles he defeated Tom Thierie of Belgium with a score of 6-2 6-4. Olly partnered Laura Campbell in the mixed doubles and defeated Israeli pair Nadav Sarfati and Ofir Avishay in the final, winning with an easy 4-0 4-0.
