Students give a little back to the community
A group of 9 students studying towards their Entry Level Skills for Working Life qualifications course recently organised and carried out a community litter picking event.
The Skills for Working Life programme is designed for students with an interest in land and plants, conservation and animal care, who are working at Entry Level and wish to develop a wide range of work related, personal and social development skills.
The students had planned this activity themselves to gain evidence for their ‘community action’ and ‘plan and make a journey’ units. The event took place within the grounds around Tonbridge Castle and the students travelled by bus.
Although the litter picking day was wet and cold, the students were thanked for their hard work and effort by local residents. All of the students successfully passed the units - Well done!
