State Funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II - confirmed as Monday 19 September
Please find an update as promised. Next Monday (19 September) has been designated as a Bank Holiday to mark the date of the State Funeral of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
As a result, normal Bank Holiday practices for students and staff will apply and no teaching will take place on that date. Please if you have any questions discuss with your tutor.
We express our deepest sympathies for the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As the UK's longest-serving monarch, after reigning for 70 years, her impact upon our country is of huge significance and we thank her for her service to us all.
Our college will observe the mourning period whilst continuing to support our students and staff. Our Term will start as planned next week and teaching will begin from Monday, if you are a residential student your key collection will go ahead as planned on Sunday. Unless otherwise stated, please assume any activities and events we have scheduled will continue as planned.
We will await details of arrangements for Her Majesty’s funeral, and will confirm details of how this will affect college activities when this is confirmed.
