Level 2 and 3 Golf Greenkeeping Apprenticeships PA1 and PA6 Spraying Certificates
"I completed my Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeships at the London Golf Club in Kent, this took me 4 years to complete and I enjoyed every moment."
Connor Lang - Assistant Greenkeeper Rochester and Cobham
After I completed my apprenticeship I got the opportunity to go and work at Kauri Cliffs Golf Club in New Zealand for 6 months which was an amazing experience. That happened because I had the qualification which allowed me to go and explore different adventures that I wouldn’t have been able to do if I hadn’t had the qualification.
The most important thing I learnt at Hadlow is that there is no one right way to do something in this industry and by simply talking to people that you meet at the conferences and seminars that Hadlow set up will help you look at something differently or help you solve a problem that you where struggling with.
The thing that I enjoy the most about my job is that no two days are the same because there is always something that can be done whether it is learning how to use a different machine or working out what we should spray on greens and when is the best time to do that.
Advice that I would give to new apprentices joining the industry is, I would tell them not to be afraid to ask questions as that’s is the only way you will get better, and no question is silly. We all had to start somewhere and in this industry you are constantly learning whether you have just started or you have 10 years experience.
