One of the most anticipated events in the Spring calendar is almost here, with Hadlow College’s Lambing Weekend set to return to Kent’s only rural and land-based college later this month.
The two-day event, taking place on Saturday 20 April and Sunday 21 April this year, attracts up to 10,000 people, many of whom are eager to take the opportunity to see scores of newborn lambs gambolling around the fields and visit the lambing sheds to possibly see a newborn enter the world.
Chris Lydon, Vice Principal for Hadlow College, says: “Our Lambing Weekend is now an established part of the Spring calendar in the South-East, and it is always hugely popular. It is a wonderful opportunity to see some adorable lambs and to explore the beautiful surroundings we have here at Hadlow.”
The event brings together a range of land-based activities, and also offers the opportunity to learn more about Hadlow College and what it has to offer.
As well as exploring the beautiful surroundings of Kent’s only rural and land-based college, there is much more on offer over the weekend including:
- Tractor trailer rides (weather permitting)
- Talks and demonstrations by the National Centre for Reptile Welfare
- A birds of prey display
- Archery
- The chance to meet some of our animals
- The opportunity to speak with our Advice & Guidance Team and Curriculum Areas
- Food and drink stalls
- Arts and crafts events
- Fun fair rides and stalls
- Much more!
