Hadlow College purchased the multiclean mulching brush from Clemens with the support from partners at NP Seymour to select the most appropriate equipment to carry out mechanical husbandry tasks enabling higher levels of production without using chemicals.
With the MULTICLEAN mulching brush you can remove the shoots and at the same time control weeds in the undervine area without interfering with the soil structure. The MULTICLEAN is particularly low in vibration and has extremely robust and smooth strings, which are gentle on the vines with different sizes available for its various areas of application.
Representative Paul Tuteirihia from Clemens came to Hadlow to aid in the setup of the multiclean on one of our very own New Holland Tractors and demonstrated the best way to utilise the equipment for the sustainable vineyard and orchard on-site at Hadlow College.
Clemens helps find sustainable machine solutions for the year-round cultivation of row crops – completely without the use of herbicides! Whether viticulture, orcharding, nurseries or agricultural technology – their comprehensive product range is geared to a wide variety of applications and is a reliable aid for all work.
Zoe Smith, Sustainability Project Manager at Hadlow College said, “We have been supported by Claire and Steve from NP Seymour they have helped us to select the most appropriate equipment for our needs. Their expert knowledge and expertise are invaluable and of course I’ve been very impressed with their customer service”
Claire Seymour Director at NP Seymour, the UK’s leading fruit and vine machinery dealership said, “We are thrilled to be supporting Hadlow College with its new orchard and vineyard ventures, ensuring that staff and students have access to the best specialist equipment on the market, such as the Clemens MultiClean and mechanical weeder.”
