We are now just days away from one of the most eagerly anticipated dates in the South-East’s calendar, Hadlow College’s much-loved Lambing Weekend.
The hugely popular event returns this weekend, running from 11.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday 26 April and Sunday 27 April.
Every year over 10,000 people visit the College for the opportunity to see an abundance of newborn lambs gambolling around the College’s beautiful fields and to visit the lambing sheds for the chance to see a newborn enter the world.
And whilst the lambs take centre-stage, you can also see the many other animals the College looks after, which range from pygmy goats to meerkats, and pay a visit to the National Centre for Reptile Welfare, which provides refuge and care for over 1,000 unwanted and vulnerable reptiles and amphibians.
In fact, the weekend brings together a range of land-based activities and offers the opportunity to learn more about Hadlow College and explore the stunning surroundings of Kent’s only rural and land-based college.
Other highlights of the weekend include:
- Tractor trailer rides (weather permitting)
- Talks and demonstrations by the National Centre for Reptile Welfare
- A birds of prey display
- The Sheep Show
- Archery
- The opportunity to speak with our Advice & Guidance Team and Curriculum Areas
- Food and drink stalls
- Arts and crafts events
- Fun fair rides and stalls
- Much more!
If you are interested in attending, it isn’t too late to get your ticket!
A family ticket, which permits entry for two adults and up to three children, costs £32, an adult ticket (aged 17+) costs £14, and child and concessionary tickets (for anyone over the age of 65 and carers & students with a valid ID) cost £10. Children under the age of 2 can enter for free.
